1. Ensure that you team members know that the goal of this discussion is for development purposes and is
not about tracking their performance.
2. Encourage your team members to give examples and on your end be ready to give specific work examples
to make it clearer to your team members on your message.
3. Use what your team members have written in the review form as a guide, together with your own
impressions to provide constructive feedback to your team members.
4. If this is not the first development review for your team members, ask about the feedback from their
previous development review and find out if they have been responsive to previous feedback and
improved. If not then why?
5. Focus on both the positives and negatives. Should encouragement for your team members by letting them
know what they have improved already as well as what they need to improve.
