I’m noticing a theme in feedback received from stakeholders internally regarding CREFM, specifically relating to sharing of information and updates on what is going in - in essence we need to be doing more of this. I’d rather over communicate than have stakeholders feel they are not connected with CREFM.
I think with the transition and stabilisation of operations we have all be too busy ‘doing’ and not enough ‘telling’.
Starting next week, I’d like all SDM to prepare and send to me a Bi-weekly update using the attached template. It is not something that should take you very long and is split into four sections:
Key Achievements & Challenges: share here the positive actions that are ongoing or completed. Could be swapping of vendors, service improvements, successful lease events - anything of importance you have completed with CBRE/FLI or internally. Challenges would be red flags or issues the country is having - poor CBRE performance, noise from stakeholders about service quality, blockers in your role where someone or something is stopping you from getting things done.
RE/FM/Fleet: - use this for an update on what is happening in each bucket. For example, lease renewals you are working on, CBRE performance and FM activities, status of fleet activities and initiatives - e.g. batch renewal/purchase
I will use these to update key stakeholders on a monthly basis and they will feed into a territory level update issued each month to the various TMCs.
