Please send me your daily utility report for May and daily WWTP report.

Your anaerobic sludge is dispersed and buoyant, less dense and looks no formation of granules yet. This could mean the following:

1. You have many solids going inside your MUR.
2. Your anaerobic sludge did not grow fast due to coating effect of solids, less digestion of food less grow. Effect is higher VFA and low MUR removal efficiency.

Please do the following:

1. Try to control the TSS below your ET specs.
2. Try to remove more yeast from your decanted beer before dumping to WWTP.
3. Follow up QA for presence of filter aid in your WWTP.
4. Increase upflow velocity of your MUR by increasing the current flow rate of recycling pump by 30 to 40% for 6 months.

- it is expected that the contact time (retention time) of waste water to your anaerobic
sludge will be reduced. The MUR removal efficiency will also reduce and VFA / MUR
effluent COD will increase.

- you may notice bulking at the top of your MUR, which means that you have effectively
remove the solids inside your MUR when you increase your upflow velocity. But observe
if there are sludge being carried out when you increase your upflow velocity.

-another effect of increasing the upflow velocity is you will experience momentarily an
increase in VFA or MUR effluent COD. your final effluent COD and BOD will increase
also, and may be higher than the standard. do not panic when this happens because
we know that we do something to improve our MUR. this will happen not too long. this
is just a short term effect. you may want to inform K.Sukit and your government that we expect an increase in BOD (as read in your BOD on line) and explain to them our action plans (as stated above). this is just a sacrificial move in order to improve our system.

-the long term effect when the solids that binds your anaerobic sludge is removed, will
be better growth rate of slugdge, better digestion and removal of pollutants in your waste water, lower final effluent COD and BOD.

-but you must monitor closely the anearobic sludge on a weekly basis. please send
me weekly analysis of the following when you have started to increase your upflow
velocity:


1. SV 1 hour from SP 1 to SP6.
2. MLSS and MLVSS of:
SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6.

-send me also daily report of your waste water parameters so I can help to evaluate
the performance of your wwtp.
