The two LFA-positive sera came from two HIVnegative patients infected with T. asahii, and also gave positive results with the EIA and the LA kits.
The two additional samples included in this group and considered as false positive returned negative results with the LFA and LA tests.
Specificity of LFA test on this group was thus calculated at 90.0% (2 positive/20 samples) [IC95 76.8e100%].
