The questionnaire consisted of 24 questions on two typed pages, in English and Spanish. It was conducted in and around the Bronx,Washington Heights,East Harlem and the Upper East Side of Manhattan. A toothbrush was given as an incentive to the adult who agreed to fill out a questionnaire. Also, a CDC pre-made pamphlet on oral health care for children was handed out afterward to help educate parents about oral health care for their children. All data was entered on a spreadsheet and stored in a password-protected computer.
