Kelly IT is looking for an Application Support Manager for an opportunity in Los Angeles!
IT Analyst - The Sr. Systems Analyst performs analysis of new business requirements by meeting with end-users and studying existing systems and processes. The Sr. Systems Analyst gathers these requirements into functional requirements document, so s/he becomes the first point of contact for the software development team regarding any functional question about how the system should work and becomes the first point of contact for the end-users and the service desk to verify a technical question about the system. Understanding business needs and processes as well as system architecture, the Sr. Systems Analyst makes workflow recommendations, designs user interfaces, prepares wireframes, and demonstrates application functionality for approval by project stakeholders.
The Sr. Systems Analyst provides oversight of the various software applications systems to ensure that they provide the intended value and the expected return on investment to executive and administrative team. The primary applications and systems this position will work with are clinical information systems but also include reporting and administrative systems and utilities that usually are developed in-house using SQL, HTML, SharePoint, Cerner CCL, JavaScript based Cerner Mpages and other web and mobile platform technologies.
This position manages relations with vendors, technical staff, and end-users to gather requirements, prepare Statements of Work, review vendor responses, select best practices and solutions, present options and recommend solutions to management, plan the implementation of the system, either collaborate with an assigned IS Project Manager or perform project management tasks, analyze and manage risks, manage time and calendar constraints, execute tasks to complete the project, facilitate communication and training with end-user department personnel, test application and manage adjustments as needed, provide scripts to IS Service Desk for appropriate support for each application, and audit subsequent vendor bills to submit accurate invoices for management approval.
The Sr. Systems Analyst also supports key I.S. strategies, such as self-service, internal reporting, project management, and the department s dashboard system. The analyst in this position is called upon to collaborate with their I.S. engineers, project managers, applications administrators, systems administrators, and technician colleagues to configure and maintain operations and configurations of the applications required for optimum performance of the systems.
This position requires technical knowledge of the above listed systems and software, and confidence, skills and experience in business relations, presentation and training development and delivery, graphic illustration, project management, schedule compression techniques, and risk analysis. Overall, this position is expected to take initiative and identify needs and opportunities for process and support improvement and present options and solutions to I.S. management, and demonstrate the pursuit of excellence in meeting expectations and requirements, and encouraging a team culture of professionalism, continuous improvement, and learning.
Minimum Experience Required:
5+ years of systems analysis experience
1+ years of application administration experience
2+ years of I.S. infrastructure experience
2+ years of project management experience
2+ years of I.S. experience in Healthcare organization is preferred
Demonstrated approach to people collaboration techniques and relationship building
Minimum Education/Training Required:
Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, computer sciences, software development, or some college/ vocational training with equivalent work experience in the telecommunications industry; vendor and network carrier experience is preferred; campus and multi-location enterprise experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent verbal and written skills including presentation and training development and delivery; public speaking techniques; Proposal writing and graphic illustration
Technical understanding of the defined systems and software; broad knowledge of I.S. concepts
Project management per PMI guidelines preferred
Risk analysis
