In addition, the results contribute to the understanding of
cosmetic stability and efficacy in formulations containing tetraisopalmitoyl
ascorbic acid, because there are no studies evaluating
the stability and effects of IPAA when vehiculated in topical formulations,
mainly using objective measurements, which are an important
tool in clinical efficacy studies of these products.
Finally, due to its good stability and efficacy, tetra-isopalmitoyl
ascorbic acid may be easily used in cosmetic products, when compared
with vitamin C free form, to improve skin conditions.
