Electrospun PVdF-HFP/PI composite membrane was prepared
by the bicomponent cross-electrospinning process during which PVdF-HFP and PI solutions were pumped into the four alternately
aligned needles. Therefore, the two polymers could simultaneously play their roles during the forming offiber morphology,
which effectively improve the membrane performances and thermal stability of the bicomponent after thermal bonding. Besides,
higher porosity and thermal dimensional stability, better electrolyte uptake and half-cell performance were achieved compared to
the commercial separator of Celgard 2400, indicating more suitable application as lithium ion battery separator
