The experimental was set up of a TSSWH consisting of one 2.16 m2collector facing south with a tiltangle of 15 degree and a storage tank of 150 litre capacity placed horizontally, shown in Figure 1. The system is of thermo-syphon circulation. The temperature of water inside the tank can be averaged from three thermocouple located at three different levels inside the tank.The total solar radiation incident on the collector surface is recorded by a pyranometer integrated tilted at the same angle. A thermocouple sensor measuring the ambient temperature is also provided.
