Crude fiber (%): Highly significant result was (26.96%)
where nil nitrogen (T-1) was applied. The minimum
crude fiber 22.50 % were recorded where nitrogen
applied @ 136 kg ha
-1
(T
5
). Our results are in line with
Wang et. al., (2002). Wioletta et. al., (2009) reported
that husked oats are reluctantly used for feeding
monogastric animals due to their high fiber contents (%).
He examined in his experiment that oat grain contained
26.90% of crude fiber. Our results are contradictory to
Ayub et. al., (2011), Rashid et. al., (2007) who observed
crude fiber (%) in oat fodder was 36.00% and 41.69%
respectively.
