Research Procedure
A before-after two-group design was utilized to examine the two different types
of instruction (Judd, Smith, & Kidder, 1991; Miller & Salkind, 2002). The participants
were assigned to one of two groups and given pretests. Next, they were taught using
either CAI or TDA. Finally, the participants completed posttests at the end of the study.
