We always want our designs could be more, more than our imagination. But in fact our thoughts merely wander in our own familiar circles. Loïc Faulon introduced one method to lead us walk out from the circle and make our designs ideal easily. The method is called Morphological Analysis.
Firstly, we need to analyze the object and list out all kinds of possibilities in icons, which becomes a morphological chart. For example, for a grinder design, we could list the possibilities in product format, functionality, container material, mechanism etc. then, we could easily have twenty or thirty possibilities.
We can do many combinations on the morphological chart. And, each combination could bring some sketches which would finally become options.
