Method.
Participants.
Student at Anadolu University were invited to participate in the study through on-campus announcements of the program. Forty-four students volunteered to participate in the study. The age range was between 18 and 25 (M=20.54, SD=1.77). All the student interviews were conducted by the researcher at the university counselling centre to determine the students’ stress related need, problems and expectations. Because group work may arouse rather than help with problems of students who have serious stress-related troubles, efforts were made to screen out those seeming to be experiencing major stress-related problem. Ten students were found to have what seemed to be serious stress-related problem and they were excluded from the study and advised to undertake one-to-one counselling.
