Parent: Approval Required
To finish accepting the terms of use, your parent needs to sign in with their Microsoft account email and password.
If your parent doesn’t know which account to sign in with, get help here. Or, if you accept the terms of use on the Xbox 360 console, it will remind them of which account to use.
Parental permission for an Xbox LIVE account
Your child has provided contact information, and wants your permission to create an Xbox LIVE account.
If you give permission, your child may use Xbox LIVE. Microsoft collects basic information from your child such as name, email address, and region, and may collect additional personal and other information as described in our privacy statement and terms of use.
Examples of how other information may be collected and/or used:
We’ll ask your child for an alternate email address and/or phone number to add security to your child’s account. For example, if your child needs help accessing their account, they will be able to use one of these alternates to prove who they are.
When your child interacts with third-party game and app publishers on Xbox LIVE, your child’s gamertag and usage information may be shared with those third parties.
If your child’s privacy settings are set to “allow”
Your child may communicate and share personal information with others through the Xbox LIVE service
Other Xbox LIVE members may see your child’s gamertag and presence on the service
By providing your permission below, you consent to Microsoft’s collection, use and disclosure of such information and to your child’s disclosure of information through Xbox LIVE.
If you let your child have an Xbox LIVE account, you’ll be able to manage your child’s privacy settings on the console, in Settings, Family, or on Xbox.com, in Account. If you ever need to close your child’s account, contact customer support.
To Give Permission:
Choose “Next” to indicate you have read and agree to the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use and Privacy Statement [link] for your child and you want Microsoft to create an Xbox LIVE account for your child. You’ll need to provide your existing Xbox LIVE account information, or create your own free account, and verify that you’re an adult.
To Deny Permission:
If you don’t want to give your child permission to join Xbox LIVE, or you don’t agree with the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use and Privacy Statement, please close this page.
