Better Way (Thailand), the Kingdom's leading single-level direct-sales company, aims to double its sales to Bt22 billion over the next five years.
The company expects more than Bt11 billion in sales this year, said managing director Danai Deerojanawong.
Of the Bt22 billion targeted in five years' time, about Bt12 billion will be contributed by direct sales of Mistine cosmetics and the rest from Friday, a catalogue sales unit owned by the group.
Danai said the company expected Bt3.5 billion in Friday catalogue sales this year, up 20 per cent over last year.
He said Friday would no longer offer only kitchenware and non-brand products under a consignment system, but would expand its portfolio to other branded goods in the areas of healthcare, education, and lifestyle.
The company has 1.1 million sales representatives for the Mistine direct-sales business and more products will be offered in the future to meet customer demands and boost sales, he said.
However, he noted that in the direct-sales business, consumers' purchasing power had declined gradually between April and August.
"Consumers have less confidence about the new government's policies, including the minimum wage, rice pledging, and fuel prices," he said.
Danai added that the widespread flooding had also affected orders for products, dropping significantly by 7 per cent over the past three months, mainly in the North and Northeast.
Better Way (Thailand) yesterday revealed that its sales increased 11 per cent year on year in the first seven months, higher than the 7-per-cent increase projected earlier by the company.
Friday catalogue sales grew dramatically, by 20 per cent, over the period, compared with 7-per-cent growth for the Mistine business.
