Among the tested botanicals turmeric rhizome extract was least effective even at 20 per cent concentration by recording an inhibition of 17.31 per cent and 15.45 per cent in fresh and boiled form. In effectiveness of B. bassiana and other entomopathogenic fungi against A. solani may be due to entomopathogenic nature. Results of in vitro testing of chlorothalonil were contrary to the findings of earlier workers which might be due to differences in the sensitivity of the pathogen.
