At that time, there was a fair amount of debate among philosophers.
However, the Qin and Han dynasties discouraged diversity in philosophy (recall that Emperor Qin Shihuang had many books burned except for the ones he favored). As a result of this destruction, less information is available to us about the Mingjia.
Overall, we can say that we know more about Confucian and Daoist philosophy because their writings survived, whereas we don’t know so much about the other schools, which focused on logic, argumentation, scientific reasoning, etc.
Nonetheless, some of the Mingjia ideas survived and were adopted and continued by the later Mohists, who who had already been interested in names and debate in their own tradition.
