2D features in the images correspond to their 3D counterparts.
Due to the fact that we like to obtain a consistent
3D model of the scene it is necessary to combine the extracted
different model representations. In our approach
we decided to accomplish this task by utilizing a human
operator in terms of his interpretation and segmentation
abilities. As a result of the modeling process we are able
to achieve a coarse as well as a detailed 3D model of the
scene.
The remainder of this paper is structured as follows: after
a section related work we describe our approach to
build 3D geometric models from image sequences. Furthermore
we present the achieved results and finally we
conclude our approach and outline some aspects of future
work.
