Please note there is a process realignment for SG Lubes Ops Supply Planning (Imported Products and Local Blend Products) with regards to emergency/urgent/rush orders.
For SG Lubes Operations, orders will be fulfilled based on the standard offer (standard lead times). Urgent / emergency / rush orders will only be accepted or fulfilled if there are sufficient reasons to do so and planners must seek review and endorsement from SG Supply Manager (or his designate) before accepting such orders. Urgent / emergency / rush orders are orders with requested delivery time from order creation date shorter than standard lead times, would then be a lead time violation and vice versa, Lead time violation would in fact mean an urgent/emergency/rush order. Review of Urgent / emergency / rush orders is important as we have come upon consistently regular requests for violation of lead times which contradicts the intent of Standard Offer – for which some distributors used this as a “loop hole” to defeat the standard lead times in standard offer. An urgent/emergency/rush order should in itself be really urgent.
For requests to make early delivery, we will help the customers based on our best endeavors but we will not commit to any earlier delivery date which violates the standard offer lead time. Any change of requested delivery date (RDD) that violates the standard offer would then be an urgent/emergency/rush order which would subject to review and endorsement from SG Supply Manager (or his designate).
Requested Delivery Date (RDD) = Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) from plant / warehouse = Planned Goods Issued (GI) Date from plant / Warehouse
