FPRI reduced the total dry mass significantly even though it also improved canopy WUE, because FPRI significantly reduced leaf RWC, Chl and CAR contents and SOD and POD activities and increased the Pro and MAD contents, and the above-mentioned physiological indexes in FPRI could not recover fully to the levels of CI after receiving full watering. Moreover, total dry mass accumulation and canopy WUE in the higher fertilization treatment was slightly higher than those of lower fertilization treatment.
