In the present study we thus investigate the effects of three distal
variables on the proximal variables attitude, subjective norm,
and self-efficacy towards the intention to use DLMs. Although
IMBP posits that the direct antecedents of attitude, subjective
norm and self-efficacy are respectively outcome beliefs, normative
beliefs and efficacy beliefs (as can be observed in Fig. 1), these are
often omitted in empirical studies for reasons of feasibility and
simplicity. For the same reasons we will not consider these beliefs
in the current study
