Three years after King Rama 1 ascended the throne in 1872, King Padung of Bruma sent a large army of 144,000 soldiers to attack Thailand. A until of 10,000 soldiers came by ships to southern Thialand. They attack most of the southern provinces including Takuapa and Takuatung which were cities on the mainland just north of Phuket island and began to march of Thalang.
