Dear Khun Phing,
As interim feedback resp. is the following understanding correct ?
SCENARIO 1: 80% of PPS shipment – Service tools.
Are the items used for the O&G industry in TH ? Then DMF might cover this ?
SCEANARIO 2: 20% of PPS shipment – Maintenance tools.
Understand that cargo is imported temporarily for maintenance and NOT used in the local O&G exploration and production, and therefore exempted from DMF priviledge.
Options:
a) Temporary import against bank guarantee
b) Import to free zone, exported for maintenance and re-imported to free zone
However, both options do have heavy restrictions customs technically, i.e. would need to be identified based on serial number etc.
Pleased to hear and thank you in advance.
With best regards,
