The analyzed polymer material is prepared by
blending a TPV of ethylene–vinyl acetate copolymer
(EVA) and nitrile rubber (NBR), with Polyanilinedoped
with dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (Pani.DBSA).
As the elastomeric phase is vulcanized, Pani
can only be contained by the plastic phase. This
way, it becomes possible to reach the percolation
threshold with very low amounts of Pani, which
may be interesting for practical and commercial
purposes. As shown here, addition of 5–6 wt% of
Pani to the TPV may lead to a drastic reduction
of the electrical resistivity of the materials, allowing
for production of reusable semi-conductive thermoplastics
