I have used Reviva Labs 5% Glycolic Acid Cream Exfoliation & Cell Renewal Facial Treatment for about three years now and I have to say I'll never stop. I have a lot and I mean a lot of melanin in my skin, so I started using the product not because of fear of wrinkles but because my skin tends to be either very oily or very dry, and trying to balance my fickle skin has caused problems. The problem was not having an occasional pimple in the wrong place but my bad habit of picking them. I would often be left with a scar and though I have dark skin they were noticiable-- well at least to me. At first the cream made me uncomfortable due to its tingling and slight stinging effect on my skin. After a few days this subsided. I would only apply this cream at night. After a few weeks it was well worked into my beauty regime. It wasn't until I began receiving comments daily on my skin that I realized the cream was a solid purchase. Well, one day I decided to up-the-ante and purchase the 10% cream. Holy hell! The cream literally ate through my skin. Seriously. I went to whip the cream of and the skin on my chin came with it. Yea....try covering that up with make-up. Not only didn't I try to cover the scar with make up, I couldn't due to the fact that there was not skin left. It was terrible. My skin grew back in a couple of weeks but not before having a huge scab on my chin. I wasn't receiving compliments anymore. After a series of scars, each becoming smaller than the one before, I was left with a scar. It was a few months and I mean a year until I returned to the 5% cream. The same issues that brought me to the 5% cream manifested again: clogged pores and scars because I'm a child who can't keep her hands off her face. I't is going on a year and half since I've returned to the cream with great results. My pores are small, my skin is bright, even and balanced. I don't want to challenge the reviews by the others who gave the 10% cream top marks. I just thought it was important to share my experience for anyone who has temperamental and sensitive skin.
