Endophytic actinomycetes isolates were inoculated on Pikovskaya medium supplemented with tricalcium phosphate and incubated at 28°C for seven days. The halo zone around the colony was presumptive confirmation of phosphate solubilization. Quantitative estimation of phosphate solubilization in broth was carried out using Erlenmeyer flasks (250-ml) containing 50 ml of Pikovskaya medium. The selected isolates were grown in liquid Pikovskaya medium for 7 days for the analysis of released phosphate content in the culture filtrate. The total amount of phosphate solubilzed by actinomycetes isolates was estimated by Jackson (1973) method
