the production cost does
show linear relationship of the capital of filtration, open pond,
and DME extraction, where the capital of filtration has the highest
impact among the three. However, the influence is not as vital as
electricity and fuel prices. The 50% decrease of filtration cost only
results in 25% of decrease in the production cost. Electricity, as a
key contributor to the overall operating cost, on the other hand,
shows that 50% discount on the tariffs reduces the production cost
by 35%. Another factor, the fuel price, is inversely correlated with
the production cost due to the reason that the system is
self-sufficient in providing heat and able to produce excess fuel
for profit. Thus, when the fuel price rises to 150% of the base case,
the production cost reduces up to 75%
