Wat Tham Saeng Phet, located about 11 kms. away from town to Amphoe Khemarat, in the cave of which the late Luang Pu Cha, one of Thailand's most renowned meditation masters, together with his followers ever welled for 5 nights during his austere practice in the jungle, is a branch of Wat Nong Pa Pong founded by Luang Pu Cha Subhaddo. The temple houses a 28-meter-wide and 80-meter-long Vihara decorated with murals depicting the Buddha's life and a Chedi housing a statue of Luang Pu Cha.
