use change on runoff and erosion; (2) to determine the response of runoff and soil erosion to different rainfall regimes; and (3) to study the role of different land use types on soil erosion control under different rainfall regimes. The natural resources, land use patterns, and population densities in the Wangjiaqiao watershed are typical of the surrounding region (Bu et al., 2008; Feng et al., 2008; Shi et al., 2004; Wan et al., 2010). Therefore, the results derived from this small watershed within the TGA give an indication of possible trends occurring throughout the TGA.
