What was revealed in several of the big corporate scandals in the U.S. was that
the highly paid executives had no idea of the actual workings of the company. Electing someone
mayor or president who has never done the daily tasks of managing an organization is a recipe
for charlatans. The business details of a political, educational, or religious organization should be
secondary to its mission; nonetheless, those who claim to lead should not be innocent of the
inner workings of the operation
