In the second part of our review the utilization of NMR spectroscopy
in the structural characterization of VLB/VCR-related
derivatives was critically summarized. It was shown that starting
from the era when NMR spectroscopy was primarily used to prove
the presence of some functional groups with measurements requiring
ca. 100 mg of samples, we have now arrived at a state where the
three-dimensional picture of a given molecule, complemented by
dynamical information can be drawn from less than a 1 mg of not
necessarily entirely pure samples.
