4.1. Engaging innovators
As discussed earlier, innovators are those who have a very high level of knowledge and understanding about the technology.
However, this stage is often very hard and can be frustrating, as even this knowledgeable people will take time to make a decision.
The preparatory works that may help engage innovators include demonstration of technology to enable the potential users to see how it works; communicating with the local leaders and community members; and conducting awareness programs.
At this stage, the program implementer also needs to have a basic understanding of the target community, including the knowledge about the appropriate decision maker of a family/household.
