Mind and Life’s International Symposium for Contemplative Studies (ISCS) is a biennial academic conference that brings together leaders from wide-ranging fields, including neuroscience, psychology, clinical science, philosophy, economics, humanities, physics, and education. The interdisciplinary meeting examines new ideas to advance our understanding of the human mind, while also illuminating how mental training through contemplative practice can lead to reduced suffering, enhance cognitive-emotional functioning, greater happiness, and increased social harmony.
