remained practically unchanged during both A- and B-typegranule development for two plausible reasons: (1) inside clusterslong b-chains remained unaffected during granule development, and glucan chain rearrangement (trimming) occurred primarily with short b-chains; (2) even though structural changes occurred in the long B-chains of AP, the clusters did not reflect these changesdue to the removal of the affected segments during isolation of the clusters.
