Greenhouse Cultivation. On May 20, the 60 day old clones were separated into four blocks by size (20-25 cm in height) and transplaWater was slowly added to each pot until field moisture capacity was reached. The pots were organized in a randomized complete block design with four blocks and four replicates per treatment. Pots were kept in a greenhouse at Beaver, WV (37° 46′ 30′′ N and 81° 7′ 00′′ W, 738 m of altitude) covered with two layers of K50 Clear 6 mm plastic (Klerks Plastic Product Manufacturing, Inc., Richburg, SC), with the nted individually into the prepared pots. To encourage root growth, potbound roots were severed by four vertical cuts on the outside of the growing medium.
