1 – PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to demonstrate that the holes that are closer to the edges at the interface
between Base Frame and Insulator (highlighted in Fig.1) are subjected to a Stress State that is very low
compared to the mechanical properties of the Base Frame material.

2 – MODEL, LOADS AND CONSTRAINTS
The simplified model represented in Fig.1 has been assumed for the investigation. The Max Allowed Terminal
Loads, Longitudinal (L) and Transversal (T), have been implemented one by one. Because the effect of the
Longitudinal (L) Load is negligible in correspondence of the holes that are in the scope of this investigation, only
the results relative to the Transversal (T) Load have been reported.
The implemented value of the Load in Y-direction (T) is 3000N, which corresponds to the Max Allowed Dynamic
Terminal Load.
