Stepwise linear discriminant analysis (SDA) was employed subsequent to QDA to detect treatment differences using a reduced subset of response variables that serve as key indicators of multivariate treatment response. The SDA procedure selects these reduced subset variables based on their representation of the majority of variability in multivariate response to treatment.
