This study had some limitations regarding the intervention.
Practicing mindfulness eating and yoga exercise by themselves was
prescribed in the home protocol instead of as a group intervention at
the research center. Peer motivation to practice and exercise regularly
was therefore lacking. However, participants reported that practicing
mindfulness eating and yoga exercise by themselves at home was
more convenient than doing so as a group because of their limited
free time.
Further studies should compare the effect of mindfulness eating
and yoga exercise between practicing alone and in a group.
9. Conclusion
Mindfulness eating and yoga exercise was effective for glycemic
control among pregnant women with GDM A1. These findings
contribute to the evidence for the efficacy of mindfulness eating and
yoga exercise in improving glycemic control. It should be recom-
mended in diabetes self-management.
