Polyvinylamine is synthesized by polymeranalougous
reaction e.g. by polymerization of vinylformamide followed by acid
or alkaline hydrolysis. It is used in catalysis, chelatation, and treatment
of wastewater, paper making and the recovery of oil [11–14].
Protonated PVAm is a highly hygroscopic cationic polyelectrolyte.
It can be dissolved in water and ethanol. Different molecule masses
and amino-group content of PVAm are distinguished.
