Recently, major stakeholders like Nokia and Google have
announced their intentions to bring their own related indoor
localisation platforms to the public. However, on the
one hand Nokia seems to focus on relatively large and
specialised areas, and not e.g., office buildings, requiring
also new technologies like Bluetooth 4.0 which have not
yet reached mainstream status. Google, on the other hand,
provides a platform to map indoor locations that seems to
fit scenarios where events for specific periods of time are
organised, e.g., a conference that lasts a few days, and where
locations should be updated. Regarding our own previous
work, the architecture and implementation of the system
discussed here is discussed in more detail in [15].
