HOSPITALIZATION AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE
In absence of a public health insurance in Myanmar, hbs Myanmar offers its regular employees and their direct dependents (spouses/partners and children, but excluding spouses/partners with own income) health benefits as agreed by the German Political Foundations and the German Embassy in Myanmar. At that time (September 2015), and in line with the agreements of German Political Foundations and the German Embassy, hbs Myanmar covers up to 500 US-$ of necessary medical expenditures per annum. This includes fees for medical doctors, preventive medical check-ups, prescription drugs, necessary dental services and spectacle lenses. It excludes any kind of cosmetic medical services, non-prescript drugs, spectacle frames or other health care services, which are not medically indicated. This amount also includes compulsorily the “Coverage Group Personal Accident and Hospitalization Cover” by United Overseas Insurance (UOI), Myanmar Representative Office (depending on individual choice with the value of 125 or 245 US-$ per annum).
