While it is agreeable that forestry practices can negatively affect local habitat quality for selected herpetofaunal species, at least in the short-term (deMaynadier and Hunter, 1995), or for a long-term (Petranka et al., 1993) the results of this study did not show any significant difference in distribution, diversity or abundance of the amphibians between the intact habitats in the reserve and the cultivated and logged off-reserve habitats.
