The Boost converter provides higher output voltage
than the input voltage. The fig.1 shows the circuit diagram
of the Bridgeless boost converter having MOSFET as
switch in two arms and DIODE as switch in rest of the
arms in a bridge circuit. The boost converter is
implemented by replacing a pair of MOSFET employing
an ac-side boost inductor. Hence the Bridgeless boost
converter is employed to maximize the power supply
efficiency by reducing the no of semiconductor
components in the line-current path, through which losses
are minimized considerably.
