The first fragrance ever launched by Vera Wang appeared in 2002 and represented the vision of the famous wedding fashion designer on ‘the intense romance and passion felt between a man and a woman in their wedding day and beyond’. Vera Wang for Women is a floral feminine fragrance, was developed by 2 perfumers: Jean-Claude Delville and Harry Fremont and received two awards in 2003: FiFi for the packaging and “Fragrance Star of the Year” – Nouveau Niche. Two years later, its masculine counterpart, Vera Wang for Men was introduced.
Vera Wang, the American fashion designer of Chinese descendant was born and raised in New York. Practicing the figure skating since the age of 6 and failing to make it to the US Olympics team in 1968, she entered the fashion industry. With a business opened in 1990 that featured trademark bridal gowns, Vera Wang became the wedding gowns designer preferred by many famous public persons.
Vera Wang for Women is a signature fragrance which is personal and sensorial, conceived as a symphony between soft flowers and sheer musk. The opening of Vera Wang is a blend of mandarin flower and calla lily. Later, the heart reveals a sensuous character, composed from the mixture Bulgarian rose and gardenia. And finally, the trail leaves an elegant sheer musk combined with white stephanotis.
The glass that holds Vera Vang was designed in collaboration with Swarovski House and features a flask made of glass and metal, intended as a jewel. The color of the liquid is soft amber.
