“The results of the study has tremendous implications for developing markets such as Thailand, where rapid urbanization in the past few decades has brought close to half of the country’s population to high-rise urban centres like Bangkok. With urban workers spending close to 90 per cent of their time indoors, employers should examine aspects of the workplace they provide for their staff such as indoor ventilation. As we have seen in the results of this study, there are clearly benefits to be reaped as worker’s productivity increases with optimized air quality,” said Ardi Rammanee, Managing Director, UTC Climate, Controls & Security Thailand.
