powder to leave a rotary drum having a prescribed slot sizeand flowability (s). The drum had two slots, each having4 mm width and 7 cm length on the surface of the drum.Powder sample weighing 25 times of its bulk density ing/cm3was kept in the drum. The drum was rotated at30 rpm by a geared motor and the powder was allowed toflow through the slits. The time required for all the powderto come out of the slits provided on the drum was noted(Haugaard et al. 1978; Jaya and Das 2003).
