In human,
the infection of hepatitis C virus (HCV) causes the hepatitis C
disease. There is clinical evidence that HCV infection changes the
levels of body iron stores. Elevated iron serum markers and iron
accumulation in the liver of patients with chronic hepatitis are
common [8-10].
