Maize, sorghum and groundnuts, bought from the local market, were grown
in plastic buckets, under nursery conditions, on each of the composite soil
samples. Each crops was thus planted on soil under four (4) influences (Neem,
Eucalyptus, Prosopis and control) and replicated in five (5) buckets containing
two plants each. The buckets for each crop were arranged such that each
treatment (soil quality) was represented at each row and column.
