The 33-item Parent Resourcefulness Scale assesses the extent to
which parents use positive self-statements, problem-solving strategies,
delay of immediate gratification, among other self-control strategies
to cope with the demands of parenting (Walker, 1990). Using a
5-point scale, parents indicate the extent to which they agree with
each statement (0 = not applicable to me, 1 = strongly disagree to
4 = strongly agree). Total scores can range from 0 to 132.
