The monsoon winds usually come from the south east and there are also easterly winds which can make for some climatic changes although these changes are minimal. The temperature varies very little in Brunei; the average (mean) temperatures are usually between 24 degrees as a minimum and 32 degrees as a maximum. The humidity in the country stays very high all year.
It is advisable to have a rain jacket close to hand and also due to the humidity light weight clothing is best worn as this will help to keep the wearer comfortable in what can often be a very uncomfortable heat. Fabrics such as cotton and linen help to keep the wearer cool. There is little need for the heavy winter clothes that the natives of northern Europe use regularly.
